Photography-2: Cartwheels, Cameras, and the Chaos of Coming Home
Regular photos were never going to cut it
Got a new camera, and regular photos felt like settling. I always wanted to make something different - couldn't think in stills even when I tried. This was peak Facebook cover photo era, and somewhere in the NID dorms I decided to represent myself properly.
Multiple exposures of me doing a cartwheel at the Rann of Kutch, all layered into one frame. Why this photo represents me best: Can't do the best cartwheel, but I'm ready for the next jump already. Did similar experiments with Apurv because why not.

Fun fact: we forgot our camera at this dock. Had to ride back 2 hours, extending our road trip even further. Worth it? Debatable.

Now I'm back home and the house is getting renovated. Found so much electronic waste it's embarrassing. Headphones, speakers, cables for devices I don't even remember owning. All sitting in my cupboard since I left home, collecting dust and unnecessary wants.

I wish life had Maya's "Optimize Scene" option - regroup all similar things and delete unwanted nodes. Instead I'm here playing archaeologist with my own mess, wondering when I accumulated so much stuff I don't need.
The cartwheel photo makes more sense now. Sometimes you need to tumble through the chaos to figure out what's worth keeping.
Still can't do a proper cartwheel, still ready for whatever's next.
