Left hand excercises
This post is more of a personal log, so if you don't understand whats happening don't hold me accountable and just comment below. I will try to get in touch when I can. These pieces are composed by Nahre Sol.
I will keep updating as I keep practicing with more personal notes.
A- the reverse eight -
Chunk out the chords first, get used to it, and then play.
B - nostalgic Waltz
separate the LH in 2 parts - Dmin(root pos triad) + Cmaj(root pos triad) ,
G7 + Gmaj (first inversion triad) ,
CMaj(simple triad) + Gmaj
C - Open waves
practice first block the chords, notes in the RH are on the beat. inner pulse comes from the LH
exaggerate the bottom and top notes in the LH. practice both, emphasizing the top and emphasizing the bottom.
D -
simple version
in simplification, omitting the last 3 notes. RH plays the same exact same pitches, roll the chords if you can.
E - Surging beads
simplified
fewer notes, and omitting directional changes section 1 master stack 5th position, practice blocking, going down is more complicated than going up.
focus on repeating pitches helps as markers.
