Why start a Blog ? First post 'Perspective'

Many peers these days are starting to ask themselves, "Why to start a blog?" Turns out, blogs have become one of the most powerful tools we have today to communicate. It's even become an internet marketing tool for making a passive income, creating a side business, and even for some, making a very healthy income. But, if you have ever had the desire to join like-minded people, meet new people, or are looking for something to have fun with, then starting your own blog is a great way to go. The first reason why people start blogs is to learn new skills. As an illustrator, I always wanted to learn new skills to help improve my craft. But, I never thought that I could do it until today. I'm hoping this encourages me to consistently work on my artwork and share it with my audience. Another reason why bloggers look to their blogs as a creative outlet. It provides them with a way to monetize their skills. One of the best ways that you can monetize your writing skills as an illustrator is to share them on your blog. You can find several blog websites where you can sign up for free, including Blogspot, tumblr, and WordPress. When you sign up, some websites will display your blog posts for the readers to enjoy. Depending on the topic you choose, you may get an ad for something like a mouse pad, or a bottle of wine.

I'm starting this blog as a result of a student project I am undertaking at National Institute of Design. To be honest, I really do not know what to do or where to begin. This illustration is called 'Perspective'. The protagonist is torn between choices, as she only gets a better perspective once she is on the other side. It is done with dry pastels on Brown paper.

How to make money from your blog

Now, you may be wondering how exactly you can use your blog to make money, but here are a few ways to make a killing from your blog.
